Q1 - What is the Quooker CUBE?
The CUBE is essentially a chilling and filtering unit that is compatible with Quooker taps.
Connected to your Quooker tap the CUBE supplies chilled filtered and chilled sparking water. The chiller unit comes in a slim compact design along with a Co2 cylinder and a water filter. It sits in your kitchen cabinet beneath your kitchen sink.

Q2 - Can I add the CUBE to my existing Quooker tap?
The CUBE can be added to any Quooker tap and pro vaq tank produced from October 2017 onwards. You will need to check the serial number on your product to determine if it is compatible.
Pro Vaq tanks with a serial number that starts with VCW or CCW are compatible. You’ll find this number on a sticker situated on the pro vaq tank.
Quooker taps with a serial number that starts with QW0, QW1 and higher are compatible. You’ll find this code attached to a label on the cable of the tap.
Q3 - What is required for installation of the CUBE?
The CUBE requires a standard 13Amp plug socket, 220-240V and has a wattage of 100W.
It must be installed close to a cold water feed with the tank in an upright position for safe operation. Water pressure must be a minimum of 2 bar and up to a maximum of 4 bar.
It is only compatible with Quooker taps manufactured from October 2017.
Q4 - Does the CUBE need to be installed by a Quooker engineer?
The CUBE does not have to be fitted by a Quooker engineer however, using a qualified plumber is recommended.
A full installation manual is provided with the product, this must be followed carefully.
Q5 - How do the CUBE and a Quooker tap work together?
The CUBE is plugged into a standard socket and also plumbed into a Quooker tap. A switch on the back of the CUBE chiller unit turns on the compressor which cools the water.
A Co2 canister is installed alongside the CUBE unit within a magnetic base unit. This provides sparkling water.
A hollow fiber, active carbon filter is installed between the mains water supply and the chiller unit. This provides easy access for when the filter needs to be changed. The filter removes any impurities and bacteria from the water to ensure fresh tasting water with each glass.
With a press and twist of the textured handle you can switch between sparkling, filtered and boiling water. We talk about how to operate the tap in more detail in the next question!
Q6 - How do you operate the sparkling, filtered or boiling water on a Quooker Tap?
Once the Quooker CUBE is installed, switching between chilled filtered water, chilled sparkling water, boiling water plus mains hot and cold water is easy.
You can select the water type with a push of the textured handle. A light ring will illuminate to indicate which water type is being dispensed.
- Single push, hold & twist – Activates filtered water - Solid blue light.
- Double push & twist – Activates boiling water function - Solid red light
- Single push & twist - Activates sparkling water - Flashing blue light
- Hot and cold water is activated using the side lever: Up for cold and down for hot & left/right to change flow of water - No light
Q7 - How fast does the water flow for chilled and sparkling water?
Water flows at 2.4 litres per minute for chilled water.
Water flows at 2 litres per minute for filtered sparkling water.
Q8 - What is the benefit of having the CUBE?
Reduce Plastic Waste: If you regularly buy and drink bottled water then the CUBE is a great investment. Not just for your grocery bills but for the environment too as you’ll reduce the amount of plastic waste in your home. Water from this unit tastes just as pure as bottled water you buy from the supermarket.
Money Saving: Sparkling water produced via the Quooker Co2 cartridge costs just 29p per litre delivered. On average, a bottle of sparkling mineral water costs around 90p per litre. That’s a saving of 61p for every litre you drink! Quooker state a litre of filtered water from the CUBE costs just 3p, compared to 65p for the bottled equivalent. Another huge saving of 62p per litre.
Save Water/Fresh Bubbles: Delivering sparkling water on tap means each glass is fresh and full of bubbles. Bottled sparkling water often goes flat after opening, once flat it is thrown away, wasting water and money!
Safe & Great Tasting Water: Equipped with an active carbon filter and a hollow fibre filter the CUBE delivers exceptional quality water as bacteria, chloride, chemicals and pesticides are removed from the water.
Q9 - Can you adjust the temperature and level of sparkling bubbles on the CUBE?
On the Quooker Cube the temperature of the cooled water cannot be adjusted however, you can choose between 2 sparkling levels!
The temperature of the Quooker CUBE chilled filtered water will vary dependent on the ambient water temperature. Chilled water dispensed from the tap is around 5°C cooler than the ambient incoming water temperature.
Q10 - How long do the Quooker Co2 bottles last?
A single Co2 bottle will provide up to 60 litres of cold sparkling water. When you notice less carbon dioxide in the water and the water flow slows down, it will be time to replace the canister.
The tank features an interactive display which shows how much sparkling water can be drawn from the cylinder in use.
CUBE Co2 cylinders can be purchased directly from Quooker in a pack of four. This set provides 280 litres of sparkling water. The cylinders are owned by Quooker and must be returned once empty. The return shipment is free of charge.
You will receive one CO2 cylinder as standard when you purchase the CUBE unit.
Q11 - How do I know when the filter needs changing on the CUBE?
The CUBE will sound a signal when the filter needs replacing. The filter can process around 3500 litres of water. Once a year the filter must be changed for hygienic reasons.
Once the filter has been changed and the timer reset, the display will continue to monitor its usage.
It is also recommended to to clean the ventilator fan once a year using a brush or small attachment on your vacuum.
Q12 - Does the CUBE need to be switched off when not in use?
If you plan to go away for two weeks or more it would be beneficial to switch off your Quooker CUBE.
Upon your return, run water through both the sparkling function and chilled function for approximately 2 minutes each.
Standby power consumption of the CUBE is 5W.
Q13 - How long does it take to chill the CUBE tank from empty?
From an empty CUBE tank, chilling time is 30 minutes.
Q14 - What is the size and weight of the Cube Tank?
The CUBE is 153mm wide, 270mm deep and 500mm high.
You will need to allow an additional 70mm for the Co2 cylinder. This is mounted firmly within a magnetic base and sits at the side of the CUBE.
It weighs 12kg.
