The Secret To A Perfect Cup Of Tea: Quooker Boiling Water Taps
15th Jul 2024
We’ve all been there, arrived home from a long day at work and the first thing you need is a cup of tea. You fill the kettle, turn it on and wait. The average kettle takes longer than 3 minutes to boil 1 litre of water and when you are in need of a brew that can seem like forever! The answer? Throw away the kettle and install a Quooker Boiling Water Tap in your kitchen! There are so many benefits of instant boiling water 'on tap'!
Quooker taps are installed in a worktop with an insulated tank installed underneath the work surface. The water tank is available in 2 capacities, 3 litre and 7 litre. There is also a combi tank which offers 7 litres of instant boiling water or 15 litres of hot water (60°C) all from a cold feed, perfect for outbuildings!
For families of up to 5 people the PRO3 3 litre water tank is ideal. The PRO7 tank is a great option for busy offices.
Whether you prefer to keep your existing tap and opt for a stand alone boiling water tap like the Quooker Nordic or, you'd prefer just one tap that supplies standard hot, cold and boiling water, then Quooker has it covered! Infact, you can even enjoy cold filtered water and sparkling water staight from your Quooker tap too. That's why it's now known as the tap that does it all! Our Quooker Buying Guide covers them all!
How Does A Quooker Tap Work?
The Quooker tap is connected to the tank that is connected to the water supply and is heated via electricity. Fresh water from the mains fills the vacuum tank and is heated to 110°C, here it is purified as it passes through the special HiTAC water filter.
As the water comes out of the tap it cools down to 100°c meaning boiling water flows into your cup. If you use up all of the water in the tank in on go (which is quite rare!) it doesn't take long to re-heat back to 110°C.
- 3 Litre Tank: 10 minutes
- 7 Litre Tank: 15 minutes
- Combi Tank: 20 minutes
Benefits Of Quooker Tap
- Save Water - Instead of filling the kettle and only using a fraction of the water, the Quooker tap means you only use what you need.
- Save Money - The Quooker vacuum insulation technology means the tap is energy efficient, daily running costs are just 3p a day. Quooker Taps save you boiling an overfilled kettle time and time again.
- Save Space - A Quooker tap takes up less room than a kettle saving you valuable space on your worktop.
- Safe - A Quooker Tap cannot be accidentally knocked over like a kettle.
Are Quooker Taps Safe?
Safety has been the paramount consideration throughout the development of Quooker taps, which is why these taps are very safe. The child proof tap handle on all Quooker taps requires a push and turn in order to operate while the water is delivered in a fine spray rather than a jet. The spout is insulated so it reamins cool to touch straight after using the boiling water function.
These kitchen taps have taken decades for the Quooker inventor, Henri Peteri, to perfect. After years of development he finally came up with a design that combined the ideal technology from which you could enjoy boiling water, safely, straight from the tap.
Today Quooker taps are sold all around the world and they are the industry leaders in boiling water taps.
