Homemade Sweet & Spicy Popcorn
Prep Time: 5 Mins
Cook Time: Approx. 3-4 Minutes
Serves: 2
Ingredients:
- 100g Popcorn Kernels
- 2 tbsp Oil (Canola, Vegetable or Coconut)
- ¼ tsp Chilli Powder
- ½ tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tbsp Agave Syrup
- ¼ tsp Salt
Method:
- Place oil in a heavy bottomed pan over a medium heat. Add a couple of corn kernels to the pan and cover.
- Wait for these kernels to pop.
- Add the rest of the kernels, cover and shake the pan to mix. Return to the heat. Occasionally you will need to shake the kernels during cooking.
- Once the popping slows down a lot, remove from the heat. If you leave it over the heat for too long once popped, the corn will burn.
- Tip into a large bowl and sprinkle with seasonings. Finally, pour over agave syrup and stir well before serving.
Author Tips:
Honey is a good substitute for agave syrup.
